Dear SCC & Friends,

…never leave or forsake… ~Hebrews 13:5

Reflection #206

You wouldn’t abandon ship in a storm just because you couldn’t control the winds. ~Thomas Moore~ …His grace is sufficient “in every high and stormy gale.” The Lord never abandons ship and calls us to stay the course. Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. ~Joshua 1:9 …He is everywhere we go and there is nowhere He isn’t. Where can I go? Or where can I flee? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. ~Ps. 139:7-8 There is a story of an atheistic professor asking his class, “Where is God?” A wise student answered, “Let me first ask you, where is He not?” The omnipresence of God transcends time, space and eternity. Yet, He is intimately acquainted with all our ways. The Creator of all that is known and unknown invites us in… I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me. ~Rev. 3:20

What is man, that You are mindful of him? ~Ps. 8:3-4 Nearly every person at some time or place has felt insignificant… as if our lives don’t seem to matter in the big scheme of things. If you believe in a God who controls the big things, you have to believe in a God who controls the little things. It is we, of course, to whom things look “little” or “big”. ~Elisabeth Elliot~Significance may be defined as a quality of being worthy of attention and importance. God loves each one of us as if there were only one of us.~St. Augustine~ We have worth and value because He has put His worth and value on us. There are no abandonment issues when it comes to the Lord… He’s in it from birth ‘til we draw our final breath. God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail or forsake you. ~Deut. 31:6 That is the absolute truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help us God… Keep up the good work!

Made for these days,

Kevin
