SCC Covid-19 Update 4/1/2020

April 1, 2020

Dear SCC & Friends,

Update #4

Blessings to each and every one of you including your kids, your spouses, your in-laws, your nieces and nephews, your parents, your grandparents, your cousins, your aunts and uncles, your siblings, your friends, your bosses, your clients, your patients, your students and anybody else in your sphere. I miss everyone and know that we shall continue to be in each other thoughts and prayers. I remain encouraged and blessed by all the “virtual” interaction we are able to have, from a simple phone call, to FaceTime and video conferencing. Keep up the good work as we deal with “social distancing,” self-quarantine and major changes to our plans and schedules. We are apart but in this together. Prayer has no boundaries or limitations! God is working in and through our lives…

That which is has been already, and that which will be has already been, for God seeks what has passed by. Ecc. 3:15…No man knows what will happen, and who can tell him what will come after him? Ecc.10:14

I love history, and properly understanding the past is a major key to addressing the future. We can learn from the past, but we don’t know or control the future. The future is the great unknown and belongs to God. Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God. ~Corrie Ten Boom  One month ago our nation was experiencing an all-time economic boom. Today, like the rest of the world, we are doing our best to halt the pandemic and cope with the medical, economic and social challenges of COVID-19. Let’s commit to be men and women of fervent prayer and solid hope. Let’s strive to be salt and light, exercising patience and grace in days that are defined by uncertainty. A third video podcast will be posted on April 5th, which is Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week. May your personal and family time be full of God’s favor and purpose. Remember, we were made for such a time as this! Our God reigns!

Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart, Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He will do it. And He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your judgment as the noonday. Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret… Psalm 37:3-7

Blessings and love,

Kevin
