Dear SCC & Friends,
And we know… ~Romans 8:28
Reflection #276
Faith points us beyond our problems to the hope we have in Christ. ~Billy Graham We live in a time-space world but belong to eternity. Jesus made it very clear that we would have trials and tribulations but also made it clear they were not to have the last word. These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. ~Jn. 16:33 It rains on the just and unjust. Christians, like everyone else get runny noses, flat tires and “fender benders”. Setbacks, be they big or small, are here to stay. If we cannot believe God when circumstances seem against us, we do not believe at all. ~Charles Spurgeon~ The Alpha and Omega is with us at all times from beginning to end… All of known history, including our own journey, is sandwiched between Genesis and Revelation… In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. ~Gen. 1:1… and at the end… The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all… ~Rev. 22:21 ~Selah~
This is our time to know love and serve God. Faith becomes tangible and life changing when we know in “our knower”. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. ~Rom. 8:28 It doesn’t mean all things are good, but we know (apprehend, understand and believe) that they work together for good. Jesus is the Good Shepherd who leads us to still waters and green pastures. I am so thankful the Lord didn’t answer all my prayers the way I wanted. If He had, I would have pursued a very different life than the one He ordained for me. Left to myself, I very likely would have married the wrong person at the wrong time for the wrong reasons bringing about the wrong results… His love and care is always for our good and His good pleasure… for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. ~Philip. 2:13 Keep up the good work!
Made for these days,
Kevin
