Patriotism takes many forms, but none more so than to thank and honor those who went before us to secure our freedom. Veterans Day is a time to of reflection to honor and remember our veterans… Render honor to whom honor is due. ~Rom. 13:7 Honor sounds a bit quaint in today’s vernacular. A gentleman’s honor. A lady’s honor. To honor thy mother and father. The Honorable Judge so-and-so. But for thousands of years, honor has had meaning. It has had value. It was—and still is—considered paramount to who you are. Do you honor your family by being a man or woman of virtue? Do you honor your country by serving in times of need? Do you honor your faith by being pious and reverent? ~Adm. William H. It is in that spirit that we recognize our veterans who deserve our respect and appreciation. As of today, the United States has over seventeen million living veterans that have done their part. We now depend on the “veterans yet to be…” that is the one and a half million soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen on active duty.
